FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Energent licenses the Variable Phase Turbine technology to Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for waste heat recovery power systems and geothermal power systems.

Santa Ana, California, July 14, 2014 - Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (“MES”) and Energent Corporation, a member company of Cryogenic Industries, announced a licensing agreement for Energent’s Variable Phase Turbine technology. The Variable Phase Turbine is applied to power production from waste heat and geothermal sources of energy. Additionally the technology can be applied to refrigeration processes, such as LNG and ethylene production to improve the process thermodynamics and product yield.

Under the license, MES has exclusive, worldwide rights for shipboard waste heat recovery. Energent also granted MES exclusive rights for land based geothermal and waste heat recovery in Japan.

The companies will cooperate to apply the technology in Asia and other parts of the world.

MES is a major player in Japan Heavy Industries involving in various fields such as ships, ocean equipment, power and energy equipment, plant engineering, logistic equipment, advanced mechanical systems, environmental-friendly technologies and so on. And MES has been challenging himself to be an expert group having more sophisticated expertise on broader fields, as a result of dedicated challenges to meet clients and social needs.

Energent Corporation is a high technology company formed by Cryogenic Industries to develop new energy technology. In addition to the Variable Phase Turbine, the company has developed a proprietary radial outflow turbine known as the Euler turbine. The Euler turbine has been applied to steam pressure recovery and to ammonia based geothermal and waste heat recovery systems. For more information visit their website at www.energent.net.
